About this Blog

This web log exists to educate the public about our legal battle against WinFixer, a notorious bit of fraudulent software (“fraudware”) that cynically installs the very problems it pretends to “fix.” WinFixer can be expensive, frustrating and difficult to remove.

Similar programs—with different names but nevertheless distributed by the same unethical people—sell hundreds and perhaps thousands of copies every day.

In return for wrecking computers all over the planet, WinFixer et al. charge $30 to $60 per copy in the bargain. Also, WinFixer hijacks browsers, presumably in return for additional revenue. Complaints are legion.

With this lawsuit, we mean to “fix” WinFixer and its cousins—no cynicism intended—and to bring those responsible to justice in civil court.

Welcome, and thanks in advance for your interest and participation!
